Mechanic/Mechanical Assembler

PowerTraxx Vehicles Inc. is an industry leading manufacturer of off-road tracked vehicles servicing the electric utility, pipeline, drilling & exploration, construction, forestry, and other off-road industries. PowerTraxx offers a wide range of personnel carriers, material haulers, and carriers ready to be equipped with a vast array of devices such as aerial work platforms, construction cranes, digger-derrick’s, drills, etc.

We are currently seeking a full time Mechanic/Mechanical Assembler to join our team in Whitefish, ON!

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Mechanic/Mechanical Assembler acts as part of a cross-functional team on the assembly of off-road tracked vehicles at our manufacturing facility.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assembly of PowerTraxx brand tracked vehicles;
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair any mechanical issues with new and used machines;
  • Some welding and fabrication;
  • Adhere to all PowerTraxx workplace policies, standards, procedures and safe work practices; and,
  • Other shop, mechanical or general duties as assigned.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • Experience is not required, apprentices welcome to apply!;
  • Experience working in a machine shop or fabricating environment would be considered a strong asset;
  • Must have ability to lift up to 50lbs;
  • High attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with others; and,
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
