PowerTraxx Vehicles Inc. is an industry leading manufacturer of off-road tracked vehicles servicing the electric utility, pipeline, drilling & exploration, construction, forestry, and other off-road industries. PowerTraxx offers a wide range of personnel carriers, material haulers, and carriers ready to be equipped with a vast array of devices such as aerial work platforms, construction cranes, digger-derrick’s, drills, etc.
We are currently seeking a full time Mechanic/Mechanical Assembler to join our team in Whitefish, ON!
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Mechanic/Mechanical Assembler acts as part of a cross-functional team on the assembly of off-road tracked vehicles at our manufacturing facility.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assembly of PowerTraxx brand tracked vehicles;
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair any mechanical issues with new and used machines;
- Some welding and fabrication;
- Adhere to all PowerTraxx workplace policies, standards, procedures and safe work practices; and,
- Other shop, mechanical or general duties as assigned.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- Experience is not required, apprentices welcome to apply!;
- Experience working in a machine shop or fabricating environment would be considered a strong asset;
- Must have ability to lift up to 50lbs;
- High attention to detail and accuracy;
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with others; and,
- Strong organization and time management skills.
